CRAP ALV LAJETS

June 2018

As soon as I had written my last exam of the semester, we packed our backpacks and set off on a short camping trip to the Alps. It was the first one of the year and I was super stoked to be back spending night in the mountains. It’s always a long wait for summer to set in in the Alps and this marked the beginning of what would turn out to become an amazing hiking season for me.

The Crap Alv Lajets are a couple of small lakes easily accessible with a short hike from the Albula Pass. We made sure to get there before sunset and after a nice freshly-cooked dinner, the sky started exploding in all sorts of colors with the clouds doing their part as well in creating a great show. The night settled in and as it got colder, we got in our sleeping bags and went to sleep.

The next morning, we were lucky enough in that the wind had calmed down resulting in some nice reflections on the lakes. It was – more than anything – just so good to be back in the mountains and I spent the whole morning just running around taking photos and enjoying myself thoroughly.
