In September 2018, I spent three weeks travelling around the northern part of Kyrgyzstan together with 24 other university students. We got to explore the diverse landscape and culture of the country and I definitely fell in love with it. It was an incredible time and this travel diary will highlight some of the places and the people that made this trip unforgettable.
PART 1 - BISHKEK
The first couple days of the trip were spent in a nice guest house in the outskirts of Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek since the travel group consisted of students from different parts of Switzerland and Germany, all arriving at different times. It was a great opportunity to get to know each other and rest up before the big trip got under way. The anticipation was building though, and we couldn’t wait to get going.
